Jan brings almost 30 years of successful consulting experience in a wide range of businesses and organizations in all sectors, both US and internationally, to focus on the essential needs and growth opportunities of her clients. Her work focuses on leadership development, organization and systems change, strategic planning, team-building, and coaching.

Jan has a BA in Communications and Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. Her Masters in HRD/OD is from the American University/ NTL Institute Masters Program. Jan has an ongoing commitment to her own continuous learning and improvement and has completed several intensive certificate programs with the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and the Gestalt International Study Center focused on individuals, groups, organizations, and systems, as well as a number of other professional development programs.

Jan is a professional member, facilitator, dean, and program designer for NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences. She has facilitated Human Interaction Laboratories, Interpersonal Skills for Leadership Success, Current Theory and Practice of Organization Development, Entry, Contracting, and Values, and Intervention Strategies. She has been on faculty at Radcliffe College (now Harvard University) where she taught post-graduate courses in Organization Behavior, and designed and delivered a program on Individual Development, focused on the individual as a member of an organizational culture and a facilitator of change. She is also visiting faculty at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland where she is part of the Executive Coaching Program, and she has taught Organization Development and served as a practicum advisor in the American University/NTL Institute Masters Program. Jan is a founding member of the Future Search Network and has conducted over forty Future Search Conferences as a part of her practice. Jan has recently copyrighted a Self-Assessment Instrument for Organization Development Consultants and is committed to teaching and mentoring individuals who are pursuing Organization Development careers.

Jan lives with her husband in Stratham, NH. She is a Mom of three grown children, an avid gardener, a loon preservationist, and an amateur photographer.

Photo: Nancy L. BrownNancy L. Brown, BA+, is a seasoned independent organization-development consultant. Nancy’s foundation experience was working internally at Procter and Gamble as both a line manager and as an organization consultant. This internal experience significantly enhances her understanding and ability to work with systemic organizational issues. Nancy has long term relationships with most of her clients, who feel confident calling on her for the full range of organization development interventions. She focuses her practice on organization diagnosis, organization design, lean manufacturing, and total quality. She has depth and experience in leadership and management development. She is a skillful executive coach and mentor, and commits a portion of her time to developing internal consultants. Nancy is a life-long learner, committed to expanding her understanding of organizations, human dynamics, and diversity and applying her learning to assist her clients and colleagues in achieving their goals. Photo: Dan CarriganDan Carrigan, MPA is an Organizational Development Consultant with over 20 years experience as an OD consultant and manager. His work includes: large-scale organization and work group assessments, work and process design and redesign; team and group development; leadership development; change management, and strategic planning. He has worked with clients in the retail, distribution, transportation, energy, health care, information technology, insurance, pharmacy, construction, wood products, manufacturing, e-commerce, theater, and education sectors. His work currently focuses on building individual, group, and organizational capabilities to effectively change and grow in demanding and fast changing environments. This work includes developing, mentoring, and coaching leaders, consultants, and OD/HR practitioners.

Dan’s experience includes managerial positions, in operations, OD, and HR with Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies in retailing, energy, distribution, transportation, and e-commerce. He holds a B.A. Degree in Political Science from Saint Francis Xavier University and an M.P.A. from the University of Maine. He also holds a post graduate certificate study at NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences. He is certified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and is an authorized representative and consultant for the EDGE Training Suite of 360 feedback tools. Livingston, PhD is an organization development consultant with more than 25 years of experience as a business and human resource executive and as an educational leader. Roland has worked with large private sector corporations and government agencies in strategic organizational change, diversity and culture change, and team building. He teaches graduate courses as an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University, American University, University of Texas at Dallas, and Columbia Teachers College. He is also a principal trainer at the Leadership Development Institute at the University of Maryland University College. Roland has a Doctor of Education in Organization Change from Pepperdine University where his research is focused on leadership, diversity, and change. He received his Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Development from American University. Matt focuses on organizations and leaders who are planning enterprise-wide change programs, including business strategy, values, mission, business process simplification, organization redesign, communications, management practices, business process re-engineering, information technology systems, improved goal setting, communication and involvement strategies, monitoring and evaluation systems, and interpersonal skill building. Photo: Beverley PatwellBeverley Patwell is President of Patwell Consulting Inc. and one of our international partners. She is an organizational development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in developing and implementing organizational development and change management solutions. Some of her clients include VIA Rail, Proceco, IATA, Ogilvy Renault, Costco, Transcontinental Media, AXA Assistance Canada, Ministry of Public Safety and Security for the Province  of Ontario, City of Ottawa Employment and Financial Assistance Branch. She has also worked inside organizations as the Director of the Enterprise Resource Planning Change Management Program and the Manager of Global Organizational Development at Bombardier Aerospace. 

Beverley has a Masters Degree in Human Systems Intervention, accreditation as Human Resources Practitioner (CHRA).  Beverley teaches Triple Impact Coaching and Leading Change courses and she is a member of the faculty team for the Irish Order of Directors Program and the Advanced Leadership programs that are offered through the Desaultels Faculty of Management in the McGill International Executive Institute. She is an associate coach with the Niagara Institute and member of National Training Laboratories Institute (NTL). Perry, Psy.D., is a facilitator and consultant with over 20 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and communities to build the visions and bring about the changes that meet their deepest values and highest hopes. She draws on many years of professional work in psychology and systems theory, recognizing that her broad background and experience provide her with an in-depth knowledge of human motivation, interpersonal and group interaction, and the dynamics of resistance and change. She has worked exclusively with non-profit and governmental organizations, particularly in education and healthcare. In recent years, she has become increasingly interested in dialogue and community-wide civic engagement processes. Her belief is that good public decision-making that will benefit the entire community involves giving people not only data, but also opportunities to openly discuss their values and choices with others. A graduate of Stanford University, Harvard University and the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, she received additional training at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in the Organization and Systems Development Program.  [Back to top]

Photo: Chuck PhillipsChuck Phillips is a founding partner and Senior Consultant for Reddy • Phillips, Consultants to Organizations. He has over forty years experience in business and industry in both operating management and internal and external consulting.

Chuck established the organization development function for the Aircraft Engine Group of General Electric (GE), serving as Manager of OD for eight years and provided consultation across much of GE. Since leaving GE in 1982, Chuck has worked with a variety of organizations world-wide — industrial, financial, educational, governmental, large and small, for-profit and not-for-profit — on a wide range of strategic change management consultations, organization improvement initiatives, and training and development projects.

In the last 10 years, Chuck has worked with clients as diverse as Rockwell Automation, Unilever, ING, Allied Signal, McGraw-Hill, CIGNA, Royal Ahold, Giant Foods, USAID, GTZ, OXFAM, SADP and the government of Malawi on complex systems changes, integrating changes in business strategy with changes in culture, behaviors and ways of operating. Specific interventions have included the transformation of Human Resources from a transactional “personnel function” to a “business partner;” and innovative processes for developing collaborative capacity building. Chuck was the Principle architect of IBM change strategy — Accelerate Change Together (ACT) — aligning IBM’s operating practices, organizational processes and culture with Lou Gerstner's strategy and structural changes.

Chuck also has extensive experience in consulting internationally, including work in Egypt, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, England, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Trinidad, New Zealand, Lithuania and Canada.

Chuck is a professional member of NTL Institute where he provides leadership and staffing to several professional development programs. He is on the Board of the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust and an advisor to the Northeast Initiative — an effort to integrate the principles of sustainable living into secondary school education. He is also a member of the Commission on Education and Communication for the World Conservation Union (IUCN) where he is also their special advisor on change. He lives in Franconia, NH with his wife, Betsey, and enjoys tennis, hiking, fishing, skiing and traveling. He is a world-ranked, masters level ski racer.  [Back to top]
