“Jan is genuinely committed to facilitating growth and development. Throughout the workshop, Jan encouraged us all to stretch and take risks by ensuring a supportive and non-judgmental learning environment. I have benefited greatly both personally and professionally from Jan's experience, insight and wisdom and hope to continue to do so.“
Leaders are developed, not born. Great leaders guide and inspire others by modeling the behaviors they wish to see. Great leaders spend most of their time on “who” and “how” rather than “what and when.” The difference between good leaders and great ones is most often their “emotional intelligence.” Research shows that behavioral skills are developed experientially, that is, learning by doing; in fact, behaviors are learned in a different part of the brain than things like using a blackberry or training to execute technical skills. These are skills you can not learn from a book or in an online program. Just like learning to ride a bike, you have to practice to ride hands free.
This workshop focuses on building 5 essential skills effective leadership: self-awareness, self-management, inspiration, influence and empathy.
In this program you will:
If you find the interpersonal dynamics of your work place a challenge, if you are interested in becoming more skilled at developing others, if you would like to increase your influence skills and your ability to manage up or over, if you are good at tasks and want to improve process, if you want to become a more effective leader, this workshop is for you!
