As a member of NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences, Jan served for 12 years as faculty, dean, and program designer for multiple programs in the Organization Development Track; she has taught the Current Theory and Practice Course in the American University/NTL Masters Program where she also served as a practicum supervisor. She also taught Organization Behavior in the post-graduate certificate program at Radcliffe (now Harvard University.) Some of our Associates are also involved in this internal development program.
Consultation is both a skill and an art form. A portion of Jan’s practice is devoted to the development of Organization Development Consultants, both those who work inside organizations and those who are independent external practitioners. Jan has coached and mentored dozens of developing consultants over the last several years. To support this work Jan developed a skillful practice model and designed an OD Practitioner Self Assessment which is available through this website. We have also designed and delivered experiential training programs, to transition Human Resources Personnel to a Business Partner role and to teach internal consultants how to support internal change efforts through through Action Research.
